Orlando Hotel

If you are searching for a nice hotel near Disney then you’ll need to check out the Radisson Worldgate Orlando. This Orlando hotel is located less than 45 seconds to the main entrance to Disney World and it is proud of its Disney Good Neighbor status. What is a Disney Good Neighbor Hotel? This status is placed on the nicest hotels near Walt Disney World that are not owned and run by the Walt Disney World Resort. These hotels offer nice accommodations, which meet up to Disney’s very high standards, and their employees are trained and knowledgeable about everything Disney.

The Radisson Worldgate Resort Orlando is 1 of 3 hotels in all of the Orlando area that offers complimentary shuttle service to all 3 major theme parks (Universal, Disney and SeaWorld). This hotel was totally redone in 2004 to the tune of $25 million & most of the rooms have been outfitted with the renowned Sleep Number beds. If you have little ones joining you on the vacation, then this is the resort hotel for you. The whole hotel is built around a grand pool area, and in the evening (if the weather allows) they run a Disney movie. This allows the adults a time to lay back and relax in the lounge chairs while the kids have some popcorn and take in the movie.

The Radisson Worldgate Resort Orlando offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee, and the property is very close to Walt Disney World that you can even view the nightly EPCOT fireworks spectacular. In addition to this hotel being so nice, the nightly rates are more desirable with nightly rates varying from $49 a night during low season all the way up to $89 a during high season. Don’t allow the low rates fool you… most Kissimmee hotels offer cheap nightly rates this is their primary way that they compete with Walt Disney owned hotels.

Vacations In Cochin (India)

Written by MichaelZ on February 27, 2010 – 4:38 pm -

Cochin, also known as Kochi, is a paradise of sandy beaches and waving palm trees. It is within the state of Kerala, which is a narrow strip of coastal territory in Southern India that stretches down the Western Ghats, and reaches up to the Arabian sea.

Cochin is comparatively cleaner and calmer than many Indian tourist destinations. In fact, you would be forgiven for mistaking the feel and look of the place for a small, traditional European city. The influence of the British, Dutch and Portuguese, who all governed there at one time or another, can still be felt in many aspects of life, not limted to social attitudes, architecture and infrastructure.

It is a religious place, and people who live there have varied ethnic backgrounds. You will find Christians, Muslims, Hindus and Jews living together harmoniously and celebrating all festivals with enthusiasm. All places of worship are present (churches, mosques, temple and synagogues), and there are some fantastic examples of them, with colorful and interesting histories.

Cochin’s most famous landmark is a set of Chinese fishing nets at harbor, which is the oldest part of the city. These fishing nets are over a hundred years old, yet they are still used on a daily basis. As well as watching the fishermen at work, you can also join in and help them should you wish to do so. There are, of course, lots of other worthwhile sights there too, more than enough to occupy you for a week or two.

Cochin, and coastline that extends from it, has some of the most exotic beaches in India. The coconut lined sands and clear blue sea, make a picture perfect destination to spend to your vacation. The beaches are unspoilt too, with typically just a few beach huts and restaurants lining the shores, so you can enjoy the surroundings just as nature created them.

As for accommodation, you should consider one of the many homestays there, which provide a much needed additional source of income to the locals, while at the same time giving you a chance to experience the real Cochin. Under this homestay concept, you live at the home of a local family, who will show you around and help you arrange tours and activities.
