Gay Travel To Rio Is The Main Attraction Of A Brazilian Getaway

Written by MichaelZ on May 4, 2010 – 11:31 pm -

A popular destination for many a year, Brazil has been able to call upon its beautiful beaches and beautiful people, as well as rely upon its carnival atmosphere which peaks throughout the night. And with a diverse mix of cultures, gay travel to Rio de Janeiro particularly continues to be a vacation many wish to take.

Whilst Rio may be the most well known gay destination throughout Brazil, there are so many more sights and sounds to see and hear across this stunning country however. The annual pride parades and festivals may be most closely associated with Rio, but huge and vibrant celebrations can be found in many other cities, most particularly Belo Horizonte and Sao Paolo.

Indeed, any of the urban cities across the country have a vibrant gay nightlife, so there is no need to limit your Brazilian gay travel to Rio de Janeiro. Spend some time looking at the wealth of information available when booking your trip, and see what an amazing vacation you could build for yourself.

However, it would be remiss not spend some time in Rio of course. Whilst not unique, it does have the highest number of gay beaches to tan yourself on, whilst a host of other daytime activities are well spread throughout; including bath houses, saunas and pools.

But of course, it is the nightlife that is the big draw; and there is no shortage of bars and clubs, drag shows and restaurants particularly geared to you and your interests. And with the party circuit always in full swing, you may well not be able to see much of the daylight!

No precis of Brazil as a destination would be complete without at least some mention of the Carnival of course. Synonymous with Rio itself, it is on most people’s list of things to do before they are 30, or at least before they die! So make sure it isn’t neglected from yours, and try to time your trip accordingly.

Whilst travel to Brazil generally goes off without incident, it is always best for gay travelers to remain aware of those areas where they may not be open to your different lifestyle. There still remain the small minded fraternities that may get a little aggressive. Just plan your trip well and let people know where you are indeed, treat it much as you would a visit to a new city back home, and you should be A okay.
