My supplier in London invited me to the capital for business transaction. I went to two other European countries, France and Holland for the same purpose. I was very anxious to visit the Capital of England to see some of the things that I have read in books during my school days. I wanted to see a lot of London so I booked two different hotels for my stay. A week in Russell Square and a week in London Victoria.

I got to London Heathrow on British airways and took a taxi to the Russell square area and checked in to Tavistock hotel. It was a long and tiresome journey from the airport. Hotels in the Russell Square area of Central london are of good standard.

The area was what i really expected was impressed the first day. With my street map, I decided to start my tour of the City just after some few hours at the tavistock hotel. I was really not disappointed. In Russell Square on my first day, I visited the British library and the British Museum. From there and with the aid of my map and people on the street, I was able to navigate my way to Covent Garden where there we a lot of street performers.

For the rest of the week at Tavistock hotel London, I visited the West end area. I just went to Marble Arch and the Oxford Circus areas to explore the areas. I went to Leicester square which is just close to Covent garden. There are a lot of cinema theatres in the area. Another place I visited was Piccadilly Circus and found the place to be very busy with many tourists. I paid a visit to the shopping streets in the West End area on my 5th day and was surprised to see that the place was so dense with shoppers and other tourists. The shopping streets of Oxford circus called Oxford street, Regent Street and Bond Street were very busy. The China town is dominated by chinese restaurants. I also took the chance to explore the Soho area too.

I went to stay in Victoria area in my second week as booked through Cheap London hotels agency. Victoria area was the place I was dying to be because there were a lot of exciting Landmarks to see. The buckingham Palace was where I visited first to go an look at the changing of the guard. I was so anxious to visit the Tower clock also called the Big Ben for what I have read. You see the Houses of Paliament from the location of the Big Ben as they are at the same location. The Westminster Abbey was targeted next as it was just at the Parliament Square. I also paid a visit to the London Eye located in the Westminster area. It has been well built and looks very strong. I am not amazed anymore that people talk about the London all the time. I enjoyed my stay in Central London and I would like to stay in the cheap hotels in Russell square as they have good accommodation standard but lower rates.
