Explore What Shanghai Can Give You On Your Dream Vacation
Written by MichaelZ on October 14, 2010 – 12:37 am -Journeying to and around the far east is easier than ever. To get to Shanghai or Singapore, you now don’t have to get on a boat and sail for months or take long overland journeys. Instead, you can get on an aircraft and be there in twelve hours. Without trouble of transport, many nations are realizing the power of tourism bucks. One of those states is China. Two of China’s major cities have grown popular tourist destinations. Singapore and Shanghai travel both have good things to advocate.
Shanghai is a mixture of modern and traditional, mixing both seamlessly to make something new. One well-liked spot is the song Fang Maison de The. The Maison is a tea shop. In China, tea is essential, and conventional tea ceremonies are taken seriously. The Maison de The combines the traditions of Chinese tea rites with the conventions that surround tea in Europe.
After enjoying your tea, you can go to the Shanghai 2010 Expo and take in the newest developments in electronics and technology. A violin playing robot is one of the featured items.
Against this, Travel in Singapore is more about cutting edge gastronomic trends. Molecular cookery is using science to prepare food. In this kind of cooking, ice cream could be flash frozen with liquid nitrogen, and things that you might think would be more at home in a lab are instead in the kitchen and used to make dinner. This trend is seen mainly in Singapore.
After you have eaten your science fiction dinner, you can go visit any of the speciality lager boozers in Singapore. With their own microbreweries, you can enjoy lager that you can’t find any place else, with a distinctly Chinese touch.
You can travel Asia and see all of the widely known, ancient sights. China totally embraces all its ancient and normal conventions while firmly standing in the 21st Century.
China isn’t the only place you can visit in the East. Japan, Thailand, and the rest of Pacific Rim are working tirelessly to do things that attract more holiday makers and bring the visitor dollars to their countries. One easy way to find out more is to go to a travel agent and schedule a tour of Pacific Rim. That way you’ll be able to see all the high points of the Asian nations, and experience the food, culture, and rich practices that can be found only in asia.

Vacations In Cochin (India)
Written by MichaelZ on February 27, 2010 – 4:38 pm -Cochin, also known as Kochi, is a paradise of sandy beaches and waving palm trees. It is within the state of Kerala, which is a narrow strip of coastal territory in Southern India that stretches down the Western Ghats, and reaches up to the Arabian sea.
Cochin is comparatively cleaner and calmer than many Indian tourist destinations. In fact, you would be forgiven for mistaking the feel and look of the place for a small, traditional European city. The influence of the British, Dutch and Portuguese, who all governed there at one time or another, can still be felt in many aspects of life, not limted to social attitudes, architecture and infrastructure.
It is a religious place, and people who live there have varied ethnic backgrounds. You will find Christians, Muslims, Hindus and Jews living together harmoniously and celebrating all festivals with enthusiasm. All places of worship are present (churches, mosques, temple and synagogues), and there are some fantastic examples of them, with colorful and interesting histories.
Cochin’s most famous landmark is a set of Chinese fishing nets at harbor, which is the oldest part of the city. These fishing nets are over a hundred years old, yet they are still used on a daily basis. As well as watching the fishermen at work, you can also join in and help them should you wish to do so. There are, of course, lots of other worthwhile sights there too, more than enough to occupy you for a week or two.
Cochin, and coastline that extends from it, has some of the most exotic beaches in India. The coconut lined sands and clear blue sea, make a picture perfect destination to spend to your vacation. The beaches are unspoilt too, with typically just a few beach huts and restaurants lining the shores, so you can enjoy the surroundings just as nature created them.
As for accommodation, you should consider one of the many homestays there, which provide a much needed additional source of income to the locals, while at the same time giving you a chance to experience the real Cochin. Under this homestay concept, you live at the home of a local family, who will show you around and help you arrange tours and activities.
