What to remember before leaving for you’re Africa holiday

Before you go on your holiday to Africa, read this article, it may help you think of some things. I have also come up with some good points to remember for when you get there.

 

When you go on a Safari it is important to think about what to wear. Africa is one of the hottest places on the planet, but something that people always forget is that at night it gets very cold. If its going to be both hold and cold take some jumpers and trousers with you for night, the rest should just be light clothing. Furthermore try to remember insect repellent, this stuff is a life saver when surrounded by a million mosquito’s. One thing that everyone recommends is to take a hat with you, keep the sun off and occasionally fan yourself a little.

 

You will be absolutely distraught if you forget to take binoculars with you. You won’t be able to get up close to all of the animals that surround you. Its hard to explain how many people actually do forget these items and then find out how hard it is to get them abroad, especially Africa.

 

One other thing really not to forget, because if you do it would spoil your holiday is a camera. Try to take as many batteries as you can as well as camera film or memory cards. It might also be a good idea to take two cameras if possible. If ones gets damaged or lost you know you will have a back up. As for taking pictures of the culture and the locals around you, try to be careful, some cultures are particularly against having their pictures taken.

 

Recommendations on the health side of things. Go and get your Vaccinations. Africa is one of many countries where you will have to go and have some vaccinations. You must go and get the hepatitis Band yellow fever injections needed for a holiday to Africa. Go and grab some Malaria pills from your GP as well. Visit your dentist before you leave for Africa. The last thing you need is one massive toothache, ruining your safari.

 

The last thing to remember out of all of these things is to keep all of the most important things you have on you all the time. Things like passports, airline tickets and your money are the most important things to you. Even if everything else goes missing, at least you won’t be trapped in Africa for months.

 

If your thinking of going on Tanzania holidays, Kenya holidays or Zambia holidays, just make sure that you look after all of your precious items.
